Dr Waqas Khan is a highly accomplished consultant cardiologist in Preston who specialises in the diagnosis and management of chest pain, angina and palpitations alongside dizziness and heart failure. He privately practises at Greater Lancashire Hospital and his NHS base is Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he offers expert care in the management of a wide range of cardiac conditions.

Dr Khan’s sub-specialties encompass advanced echocardiology, including transesophageal echocardiography (TOE), permanent pacemaker implantation, and diagnostic cardiac catheterisations. He is also highly skilled in managing cases of transient loss of consciousness, high blood pressure, abnormal ECGs, congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathy, and heart disease related to cancer or cancer treatment.

Dr Khan’s extensive training and experience have provided him with a deep understanding of complex cardiology cases.  He is a testamur of the American National Board examination of special competence in Adult Echocardiography, underscoring his expertise in this critical area of cardiology.
