Dr. Abegail Masangkay

Dr. Abegail Masangkay completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of the Philippines Manilarn in 2016. After her medical degree, she pursued Family Medicine training and completed it in 2021. Dr. Masangkay further achieved her Diplomate in Family Medicine in 2023, finishing at the top of her batch. With a strong foundation in general medicine and family practice, she is passionate about providing comprehensive care for patients of all ages, from children to geriatric patients.

Dr. Masangkay’s professional experience spans over 7 years. She has worked in various settings, gaining invaluable experience in chronic disease management, preventive care, and managing acute health conditions. Dr. Masangkay has a special interest in chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity, as well as in child health and geriatric care.

In 2023, Dr. Masangkay joined Northwest Health in Tamworth, where she continues to offer patient-centered care. Her focus is on building long-term relationships with patients, focusing on preventative care and improving patient health outcomes by managing chronic conditions effectively and ensuring regular health check-ups.

she has contributed to several community health programs focusing on chronic disease prevention, health education, and wellness programs for families, children, and the elderly.

Her research experience mainly involves clinical practice studies in chronic disease management, preventive healthcare, and pediatric and geriatric health. She is committed to providing evidence-based treatments and keeping up with the latest in healthcare innovations, particularly in chronic illness care.
