Dr. Emily Lowther

Dr. Emily Lowther has been a General Practitioner at this practice since 2006, bringing with her over 17 years of experience in general practice. She completed her MBBS degree at the University of Sydney in 2005 and earned her Fellowship in General Practice (FRACGP) in 2010.

Dr. Lowther has a special interest in children’s health, women’s health, and palliative care. She is particularly passionate about providing comprehensive family care, including well-child checkups, adolescent health, prenatal care, and contraceptive options. Additionally, Dr. Lowther provides specialized care to aged patients and regularly visits local aged care facilities and the Palliative Care Unit at Parkwood, where she supports end-of-life care.

Dr. Lowther has been involved in research focusing on women’s health and children’s healthcare, particularly in areas such as contraceptive care and early childhood development. Her work includes clinical studies that examine the effectiveness of various contraceptive options and preventative measures in children’s health.

Additionally, Dr. Lowther has participated in research surrounding palliative care in aged care settings, exploring ways to improve end-of-life care and quality of care for elderly patients with chronic illnesses.
