Dr. Maher completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2007 at the University of the Philippines-Manila, where she began her medical career.

In 2011, Dr. Maher relocated to Australia, where she furthered her expertise by earning a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Queensland in 2014. She also contributed to research within the Faculty of Medicine, focusing on public health behaviours and their influence on health outcomes.

Her primary areas of expertise are in women’s and children’s health, mental health, chronic disease management, and preventative care. Dr. Maher has a special interest in providing holistic, patient-centred care, supporting her patients through the prevention and management of chronic conditions and mental health support. Her fluency in Filipino (Tagalog) allows her to better connect with Filipino-speaking patients, particularly in her local community in Tamworth.

Dr. Maher currently consults at both East Tamworth Medical Centre (ETMC) and Calala Clinics, where she proudly supports the health and wellbeing of the local community.
