Dr. Lakhminder Sandhu graduated from Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi in 2001 and subsequently trained as a Gynaecologist in India. She worked as a Family Planning Officer at a Military hospital in Amritsar before immigrating to New Zealand in 2007. Initially, she worked in general practice as a Medical Receptionist and later as a Physician Assistant. She then worked at Waikato Hospital in various departments, including Orthopaedics, Oncology, General Surgery, and Neurology. Dr. Sandhu is now a Fellow of The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She holds a Diploma in Travel Medicine from Otago University and is an accredited Yellow Fever vaccinator. She is also a trained Medical LASER operator and supervises laser hair removal procedures at the Skin Logics clinic. Her special interests include women's health, family planning, travel medicine, child health, and elderly healthcare .
