Dr. Lindiwe Mofokeng

Dr. Lindiwe Mofokeng has 16 years of experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology, specializing in maternal health and reproductive care. After completing her MBBS and MD in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Lesotho, Dr. Mofokeng dedicated her career to ensuring safe pregnancies and healthy childbirth. At Mohale's Hoek District Hospital, she is responsible for managing both routine and high-risk pregnancies, conducting deliveries (both vaginal and cesarean), and performing gynecological surgeries. She is particularly skilled in managing complications during childbirth, offering prenatal care, and providing postnatal care for mothers. Dr. Mofokeng is also deeply committed to improving maternal health education, offering guidance to women on family planning, reproductive health, and prevention of maternal and infant complications.

Dr. Mofokeng has contributed to research focused on improving maternal health outcomes and reducing complications during pregnancy and childbirth. Her research interests include the study of preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and the role of early prenatal care in preventing pregnancy-related complications. She has been involved in studies aimed at improving access to maternal healthcare in rural areas and addressing the disparities in maternal health outcomes in Lesotho. Dr. Mofokeng’s research findings have been presented at various health conferences and have helped shape maternal healthcare practices and policies in Lesotho.
