Dr. Michela Sorensen is a passionate and highly experienced General Practitioner with over 14 years of clinical experience. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine (MBBS) at the University of Newcastle in 2011 and went on to receive her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2016. Furthering her expertise, she earned a Diploma in Paediatrics and Family Medicine from the University of Sydney and Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, refining her focus on children’s health and family care.
Her career spans diverse healthcare environments including Royal North Shore Hospital, Alice Springs Family Medical Centre, and international volunteer service in Uganda. Dr. Sorensen also practiced in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney before joining Walker Street Doctors, where she continues to offer comprehensive care in women’s health, preventive medicine, child development, and mental health. She brings a calm, empathetic, and collaborative approach to patient care, underpinned by her personal experience growing up in rural Australia and her dedication to health equity and education.
