One of his highly recognized works, “The Efficacy of Lifestyle Modifications in Diabetes Management: A Long-Term Study,” published in the Journal of Diabetes and Endocrinology in 2019, discusses the benefits of structured exercise and dietary changes in patients diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. His paper “Patient Compliance in Chronic Disease Management: Challenges and Solutions,” published in the Indian Journal of General Medicine in 2020, explores the barriers to patient compliance in rural settings and offers practical solutions to enhance treatment adherence.
Additionally, Dr. Gawande contributed to the study “Telemedicine for Chronic Disease Management: Revolutionizing Rural Healthcare,” which was presented at the Global Health and Technology Conference in 2021. This paper highlights the potential of telemedicine to bridge the healthcare gap in rural India by providing remote consultations, monitoring, and follow-ups for chronic disease patients.
