He received his medical degree from the University of Sheffield in 2002 and completed his specialty training in both Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and CGH. He subsequently attained his fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2013. Dr Sulaiman later pursued his subspecialty interest in colorectal oncology at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia from 2016 to 2017.Apart from clinical work, Dr Sulaiman has been actively involved in the medical education and training of the junior doctors. He has been appointed as an adjunct assistant professor in both the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. His interest in educating the next generation has earned him multiple awards including the Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2014 by Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
