Dr. Whitely received her medical degree from The Ohio State University School of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio and completed residency at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. Phoenix Magazine has listed Dr. Whitely in their annual "Top Doc" issue numerous times. Dr. Whitely founded Healthy Outlook Family Medicine immediately after her residency. A passionate educator, Dr. Whitely not only teaches area residents, she also frequently presents health care topics to senior programs, Phoenix College, Mended Hearts, and other area groups. Dr. Whitely was the President of the Maricopa County Medical Society in 2010 and is an Arizona Medical Association Board member. She loves reading, traveling, and scuba diving as well.
