Dr. Terry Shih is a board-certified general and cardiothoracic surgeon practicing in Bend, Oregon. He completed his medical education at the University of Michigan in 2009, followed by a general surgery residency at the University of Michigan Health System from 2009 to 2016. During his residency, he also completed a two-year research fellowship at the University of Michigan Center for Healthcare Outcomes and Policy and earned a Master of Science in Health Care Research. He went on to complete a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan in 2018.

Dr. Shih is certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. His clinical interests include cardiac surgery with a focus on valve and structural heart disease. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Shih enjoys ultimate frisbee, skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, running, and spending time with his wife and three children.
