Jaya Kumari

Dr. Jaya Kumari has extensive experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology, providing comprehensive care to women across different stages of life. She began her medical career after completing her MBBS, followed by a Master of Surgery (MS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Over the years, she has worked in various medical institutions, gaining hands-on experience in high-risk pregnancies, gynecological surgeries, infertility treatments, and maternal-fetal medicine. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS), Patna, where she is actively involved in medical education, patient care, and surgical procedures. She is known for her expertise in minimally invasive gynecological surgeries, including laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures, and is committed to improving maternal and child health outcomes.

Dr. Kumari is engaged in clinical research in obstetrics and gynecology, focusing on reproductive health, maternal healthcare, and gynecological disorders. Her research interests include high-risk pregnancy management, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, and advances in assisted reproductive technology (ART). Being associated with IGIMS, she has contributed to institutional research and clinical studies aimed at improving maternal and neonatal health outcomes.
