Dr. Marc Wilkinson is a skilled and compassionate General Practitioner with over 12 years of experience in medicine. After completing his MBBS from the University of Wollongong in 2012, he went on to gain hands-on clinical experience in both public and private hospitals across the Illawarra region, including Wollongong Hospital. His work has focused heavily on renal medicine, emergency care, and infectious diseases, which has shaped his deep expertise in chronic disease management, particularly in patients with kidney disease.

Prior to entering medicine, Dr. Wilkinson completed an Honours degree in Mathematics and Finance and a Graduate Diploma in Education, reflecting a unique background that combines analytical thinking and a passion for teaching. His current medical practice is grounded in holistic, evidence-based care with a focus on improving quality of life for patients living with long-term conditions.

Dr. Wilkinson has a strong clinical interest in chronic kidney disease, emergency care pathways, and the integration of multidisciplinary care models. During his time with the Infectious Diseases team at Wollongong Hospital, he contributed to case reviews and collaborative clinical audits aimed at improving patient safety and infection control practices.  his ongoing involvement in hospital-based audits and evidence-driven quality improvement programs reflects a solid foundation in applying research principles to patient care.
