Specialization:
Mr Ali Abbasian is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon based in London, specialising in foot and ankle surgery, ankle replacement surgery and bunion correction, alongside hammer toe correction, ankle arthroscopy and claw toe correction. He privately practises at The Platinum Medical Centre, while his NHS base is Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr Abbasian, who also specialises in the treatment of conditions such as plantar fasciitis, achilles tendon problems and sports injuries, has extensive experience managing both routine and complex foot and ankle conditions, including tertiary referrals from other orthopaedic centres. He has played a key role in developing one of the busiest and most well-regarded foot and ankle units in the UK.
After earning his medical degree from the University of London in 2000, Mr Abbasian completed his orthopaedic training on the North West Thames rotation, gaining experience at leading London teaching hospitals, including St Mary's Paddington, Charing Cross, The Royal Free, and the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore.
He went on to obtain the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons and successfully passed the US Medical Licensing Examinations. He further refined his expertise through a prestigious Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the New England Foot and Ankle Centre, Mercy Hospital, Portland, Maine - one of the few fellowships recognised by the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
