Mr Amit Putti is a leading consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon. He currently sees patients at the BMI Kings Park Hospital in Stirling and at the Bothwell Medical Rooms. Mr Putti is focused on investigating and treating upper limb conditions of the shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist, and often performs complex upper limb trauma surgery.
Mr Putti graduated in 1999 and did his MBBS from the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Medical college, India. He completed his orthopaedic training from KLES Hospital and Jawaharlal Nehru Medical college; which was his orthopaedic residency in India in 2003. Mr Putti came to the UK in 2004 to complete his Masters in Orthopaedic Surgery (M CH Orth) at the University of Dundee, in 2005, he was one of their best candidates and produced multiple research papers. He then did his MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2006.
Mr Putti's orthopaedic registrar training was carried out at NHS Tayside. He did his further specialist upper limb fellowship at the University Hospital of North Tees where he specialized in shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist conditions. Mr Putti is an active researcher and has had work published in a range of medical journals. He has around 39 publications and presentations at various international conferences.
