Mr Ashwin Unnithan is a highly respected consultant orthopaedic surgeon in Chertsey, south London, Walton-on-Thames and Woking, who specialises in knee replacement, hip replacement and revision hip replacement, alongside revision knee replacement, sports injuries, robotic half knee replacement, robotic knee replacement and robotic hip replacement. He privately practises at The Runnymede Hospital, Nuffield Health Parkside Hospital, New Victoria Hospital and Nuffield Health Woking Hospital, while his NHS base is Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Mr Unnithan pursued his basic surgical training in Surrey and Sussex, followed by a Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Science at University College London and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. He further honed his skills with advanced surgical training on the south-west London rotation, which included a trauma fellowship in New Zealand and prestigious fellowships at the Bristol Hip Unit and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.

Mr Unnithan has contributed significantly to the field of orthopaedics through numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences across Europe and the United States. His work has been recognised with several awards, including best scientific presentation in 2014 at the British Trauma Society meeting and Best Podium Presentation at the British Hip Society Meeting, 2024.
