Mr Jibu Joseph is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon based in Glasgow. An expert in the hips and knees, he specialises in hip and knee replacement, including partial replacement procedures and robotic assistance, knee arthroscopy, and joint injections.
Mr Joseph qualified in 2004 from the University of Glasgow with a commendation, where he simultaneously earned a Bachelor of Science degree in sports medicine with honours. He then undertook basic surgical training and and higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics in the West of Scotland. He was awarded the Arthur Edward Burton Memorial Award for attaining the highest score in the fellowship exam for the Royal College of Surgeons in 2013. Mr Joseph has undertaken several fellowships with esteemed institutions, such as with University of Wirral Hospitals NHS Trust in complex hip and knee arthroplasty, the University Hospital Coventry and Warwick Major Trauma Centre in complex trauma, and Tygerberg Hospital of the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town.
A consultant since 2015, Mr Joseph is passionate about excellent and individualised patient care, integrating innovative technologies with established techniques. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), British Hip Society (BHS), Orthopaedic Trauma Society (OTS), European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgeons (ESTES) and the AO Foundation.
