Specialization:
After completing his training in general orthopaedic and trauma surgery in England, Mr Khalid Ayoub pursued higher speciality training in upper limb surgery (shoulder and elbow) as well as arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of the shoulder and knee. He also undertook a Travelling Fellowship in the UK, France, and the USA.
Notably, he was awarded a Master's Degree in Trauma Surgery from the University of Birmingham, and has been working as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with NHS Lanarkshire since May 2007 and has maintained a private practice at Ross Hall Hospital and Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital since January 2008.
In addition to his general orthopaedic work, Mr Ayoub has a special interest in treating various conditions and injuries of the upper limb, particularly the shoulder and elbow.
