Professor Prapa Kanagaratnam is a distinguished consultant cardiologist based in London. With a wealth of expertise and experience in the field, Professor Kanagaratnam has established himself as a leading authority in cardiology, particularly in the areas of angiography, echocardiogram, heart attack management, syncope evaluation, arrhythmia diagnosis, and pacemaker insertion.
 
Professor Kanagaratnam initiated his medical studies at the renowned University of Cambridge, graduating with BChir and MB degrees in 1994 and 1995 respectively. He then undertook training in cardiology and electrophysiology at the prestigious St Mary's Hospital in London. He has since cultivated an illustrious career marked by a commitment to excellence in patient care, research, and education.
 
In addition to the aforementioned treatments, Professor Kanagaratnam also sub-specialises in atrial fibrillation, electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation, ECG monitoring, and ablation therapy  His clinical acumen is coupled with a passion for teaching and research. As a professor and supervisor for PhD students at Imperial College London, he imparts his knowledge to the next generation of medical scholars.
