Professor Vik Khullar is a highly experienced consultant gynaecologist and urogynaecologist in London. His private clinics can be found at 16 Devonshire Street and the Lindo Wing St Mary's Hospital. He specialises in pelvic floor dysfunction, vaginal prolapse, urinary incontinence, pelvic pain and urogynaecological problems.
Professor Khullar studied at King's College, London, before graduating with a medical degree from the University of London in 1988. He then went on to do research at King's College Hospital and was awarded a Doctor of Medicine and became a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2007. He also works publicly for the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and specialises in patients with bladder and pelvic organ problems secondary to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDH). He is Head of the Department of Urogynaecology at St Mary's Hospital in London which he established in the year 2000.
He is Vice-Chairman of BSUG, an expert advisor for NICE and Vice-Chairman of the NIHR. He also dedicates his time to teaching and is Professor of Urogynaecology at Imperial College London.
Professor Khullar has won numerous awards including the prize for best scientific abstract at the IUGA meeting in Vienna, Austria in 2018, the prize for best clinical abstract at the ICS meeting in Philadelphia, USA and the prize for best research abstract with the British Society of Urogynaecology in London, all in the same year. He has numerous publications, some of which can be found online via PubMed.
