Experience

Dr. Albena Kausae, originally from Bulgaria, has been practicing in Australia since 1994. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2000 and has built a broad and varied career in General Practice. Dr. Kausae has significant experience in paediatrics and aged care medicine, and she has developed a special interest in women's health, dermatology, and minor surgical procedures.

Dr. Kausae is accredited to perform implanon and IUD insertions and removals, and she provides antenatal shared care at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Women and Babies (RPA), Canterbury Hospital, and The Royal Hospital for Women, Randwick.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Kausae has been an examiner for new GPs with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) since 2008, and she also practices GP-level emergency medicine at Balmain Hospital in the General Practice Casualty.

Her dedication to the medical field extends to contributing to research, with several peer-reviewed medical journal papers on topics related to stress and gastroenterology.
