Dr Amr Salam is a highly respected ConsultantDermatologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer based in centralLondon at the world renowned StJohn'sInstituteofDermatologyatGuy'sandStThomas'NHSFoundationTrust and King'sCollegeLondon. He is well recognised for his expertise in acne, eczema, psoriasis and hairloss, having completed an additional one-year specialist fellowship in Medical Dermatology. He also specialises in the treatment of skincancer as well as skinsurgery.
Dr Salam qualified in medicine from the UniversityofBirmingham in 2011 after completing a bachelor’s degree in sports and exercise medicine from QueenMaryUniversityofLondon. He then pursued specialist training in dermatology at the StJohn’sInstituteofDermatology in London, having been the highest ranking dermatology specialist training candidate the UK. He additionally undertook an externship within the dermatology department of the YaleNewHavenHospital, USA. In 2014, he attained membership of the RoyalCollegeofPhysicians and was awarded a PostgraduateDiploma in Clinical Education from King’sCollegeLondon and the UniversityofLondon in 2021. Dr Salam holds a number of senior positions at his NHS Trust, including ClinicalLead of the Trust’s AcuteDermatologyService and for the Southwark Community Dermatology Service.
