Dr Anna Gear

Dr. Anna Gear has 13 years of experience in the medical field, having completed her MBBS in 2008 from Australian National University. She received her FRACGP in 2014, specializing in chronic complex medicine with a focus on diabetes management, asthma/COPD, and osteoporosis. Dr. Gear also has a passion for working with children with complex needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental disorders, and providing behavioural management. Dr. Gear has expanded her expertise by completing a Diploma in Acupuncture in 2021, which she now incorporates into her practice to assist with chronic pain management. Dr. Gear’s approach to medicine is holistic, combining general practice knowledge with acupuncture for a whole person care approach, considering the physical, mental, and environmental aspects of patient health. Additionally, Dr. Gear’s experience in travel medicine and tropical medicine stems from her extensive travels in the developing world, which has shaped her interest in global health.
