Dr. Audrey Gathy has been a dedicated General Practitioner in Double Bay for over 25 years and was a founding member of the Cooper Street Clinic when it was established in 2001. She graduated with Honours from the University of Sydney in 1985. After several years of hospital practice, including 12 months in the Emergency Department of the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, Dr. Gathy obtained her Certificate of Family Planning and Sexual Health through the Family Planning Association in 1991, followed by attaining her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
Dr. Gathy has extensive experience in paediatrics and women's health, providing shared antenatal care at hospitals including The Royal Hospital for Women (Randwick), King George Women's and Babies Hospital (RPA), and Royal North Shore Hospitals. She is highly skilled in family planning, particularly in the insertion and removal of Implanon devices and IUCD removal.
Dr. Gathy is fluent in Hungarian, with conversational skills in French and German, which allows her to serve a diverse patient population.
