Dr Gregory Schmaltz

Dr Gregory Schmaltz is an experienced General Practitioner with over 34 years of medical experience since earning his MD from the University of Calgary. He began his career in Canada in 1991, later working in the United States before moving to the Central Coast of Australia in 2003.

As a Fellow of both the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the College of Family Physicians of Canada, Dr Schmaltz offers comprehensive care across all aspects of family medicine. His particular interest lies in physical and sports medicine, where he works with patients to improve mobility, manage injuries, and enhance performance. His friendly manner and commitment to long-term patient relationships have made him a valued figure in both the medical and sporting communities.

Dr Schmaltz has remained engaged in continuing professional development and evidence-based care in sports medicine and general practice. He applies current research findings to tailor treatment plans for athletes and active individuals, and he actively participates in training sessions and conferences to remain up to date with the latest techniques in physical rehabilitation and injury prevention.
