Dr. Susan Iland is a highly skilled General Practitioner with over 40 years of experience in general medicine. She has dedicated herself to serving patients across all ages, from newborns to elderly individuals. After completing her MBBS at the University of New South Wales in 1978, Dr. Iland worked in hospitals before transitioning into general practice. She obtained her Master’s in Psychological Medicine in 1985, specializing in mental health, and is also a certified family planning specialist.
Dr. Iland has been instrumental in the establishment of the Antenatal Shared Care programme in NSW, providing antenatal care alongside major hospitals such as Royal Hospital for Women, King George Women’s and Babies Hospital, and Royal North Shore Hospitals. She has extensive experience in paediatrics, women’s health, and geriatrics, including providing home palliative care and managing elderly patients in nursing homes.
She is also involved in mental health care, helping patients manage psychological conditions, and is a strong advocate for preventative health.
