Dr. James Kolb completed his medical training in Queensland and went on to attain his Fellowship of General Practice in Sydney. With over 12 years of experience, Dr. Kolb is well-equipped to handle the diverse range of medical issues encountered in general practice.
Dr. Kolb has worked extensively in the areas of preventative health, chronic disease management, and travel medicine. He has a special interest in men’s health and sexual health, including managing HIV, PrEP, and PEP treatments. He has completed his HIV S100 prescribing course, which has allowed him to specialize in these areas of healthcare.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kolb has also completed placements in paediatrics, geriatrics, renal medicine, orthopaedic surgery, ENT surgery, and various other specialties. This breadth of experience has provided him with the knowledge and expertise to manage complex patient needs across different demographics.
Currently, Dr. Kolb is undertaking Advanced Training in Sexual Health at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, furthering his expertise in this important area of practice. He believes in shared decision-making with patients, encouraging them to take an active role in managing their health, and regularly emphasizes the importance of a healthy lifestyle to improve patients’ well-being.
