Kapil Kumar

Dr. Kapil Kumar is a distinguished surgical oncologist with over 30 years of experience. He is currently the Senior Director of Surgical Oncology at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi. Dr. Kumar received his training in surgical oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Throughout his career, he has held senior consultant positions at esteemed institutions, including Batra Hospital, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, and BLK Super Speciality Hospital. He is credited with establishing the Robotic Surgery department at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute.

Dr. Kumar has been actively involved in advancing surgical oncology techniques, particularly in the areas of thoracic and gastrointestinal oncology, breast cancer, and limb salvage surgery. He has contributed to the development of endoscopic and robotic surgery protocols and has been a mentor for DNB (Diplomate of National Board) candidates in surgical oncology since 2005
