Mr Alasdair Mace is a distinguished consultant ear nose and throat specialist based in London, offering expert management for a wide range of ear, nose, and throat issues. His sub-specialist focus includes disorders of the throat and voice, head and neck lumps, as well as nasal and sinus problems. With a comprehensive skill set, he excels in ear wax removal, laryngoscopy, nasal cautery, bronchoscopy, adenoidectomy, and branchial cleft cyst surgery.
 
Mr Mace undertook his medical education at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, Imperial College, and earned his MBBS degree in 1996. He went on to become a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2001 and later achieved the esteemed status of Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck). His commitment to continuous improvement led him to undertake a fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard University Medical School, where he honed advanced techniques in thyroid and parathyroid surgery. Additionally, his research in laryngeal nerve monitoring in thyroid surgery and papillary thyroid cancer has contributed significantly to the field.
 
Mr Mace holds pivotal roles in education and research, serving as an honorary senior lecturer at Imperial College, London, and as a senior fellow in laryngology at the Royal College of Surgeons. His commitment to advancing the field is evident in his founding of the National Laryngology Research Network and his participation as a Faculty Member in the Royal College of Surgeons eSTEP Learning Programme.
