Mr Ian Chilcott is an expert consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist based in London. He specialises in laparoscopy (keyhole surgery), which he uses to carry out procedures such as hysterectomies in a minimally invasive way. He is also a pregnancy expert, dealing with both conventional and complicated cases, and provides antenatal care, delivery, and post-natal care. He practises privately from the Portland Hospital and his NHS practice is in Hillingdon in West London.

Mr Chilcott graduated from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School (University of London) in 1993. He has more than two decades of experience, and has expertise in treating all kinds of gynaecological conditions. His years of experience has earned him a senior consultant position at The Hillingdon Hospital.

Currently, Mr Chilcott maintains three gynaecological operating lists each week amongst his antenatal and labour clinic wards and private clinic work. On top of these, he also has weekly general and rapid access (cancer) gynaecology clinics and trains senior trainees in obstetric and gynaecological surgery. Mr Chilcott goes above and beyond for not only his patients but also to his field and future surgeons. The busy environment Mr Chilcott works within warrants him to maintain his skills and continuously develop them for his pregnant and non-pregnant patients, providing the best care possible.

His experience is not limited to the clinics as Mr Chilcott also has extensive experience writing medico-legal reports. These have been in regards to obstetrics and gynaecology on a wide array of cases.
