Mr Nick Elkington is a highly revered consultant gynaecologist with over 30 years of clinical experience. He is well-known for his kind, approachable manner, and his excellent surgical skills.
He was appointed at Frimley Health as lead for minimally invasive gynaecology in 2006 and has been in private practice since then. He currently practises privately at: Frimley Park Hospital, Heatherwood Hospital (Ascot), Nuffield Health Woking Hospital, Spire Clare Park Hospital (Farnham) and The Princess Margaret Hospital (Windsor).
He set up the Frimley Health Endometriosis Centre, which is accredited by the British Society of Gynaecological Endosurgery (BSGE), leading a multi-disciplinary team caring for patients with endometriosis. He has been a pioneer in the development of robotic gynaecology in the United Kingdom and is a past president of the British and Irish Association of Robotic Gynaecologists (BIARGS).
He specialises in endometriosis surgery, heavy periods, infertility, vaginal prolapse and the menopause / HRT but is a generalist and can advise on the vast majority of gynaecological conditions. Mr Elkington provides training to senior trainees in advanced gynaecological surgery at Frimley Health. He is a regular speaker at scientific meetings.
