Mr Rami Issa is a distinguished consultant urological surgeon with extensive expertise in a wide range of urological conditions including bladder cancer, prostate cancer, benign prostate enlargement, bladder dysfunctions, overactive bladder and robotic surgery.. He practises at both Cleveland Clinic London Hospital and St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr Issa earned his MD from the University of Damascus, where he also completed specialist training in general surgery and urology. Mr Issa has received numerous prestigious fellowships and has undergone advanced training in robotic-assisted surgery in both France and Sweden.
Since his appointment as a consultant at St George's in 2010, he has served as the Clinical Lead for Urological Cancer. His national reputation is built on his proficiency in bladder and prostate cancer treatment, utilizing both open and minimally invasive techniques. He has mastered robotic and endoscopic surgical methods to address a variety of urological conditions, particularly those affecting the bladder, prostate, and ureter.
