Jayant Kumar

Dr. Kumar has held significant positions throughout his career. He served as a Vitreo-retina Consultant at Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai from 2017 to 2021. Subsequently, he joined ASG Eye Hospital, working in Jamshedpur from 2021 to 2022, and later in Ranchi from 2022 to 2023. His roles involved performing intricate retinal surgeries and mentoring upcoming retina specialists.

: Dr. Kumar has contributed to several peer-reviewed journals. His research includes studies on morning glory disc anomaly, bullous central serous chorioretinopathy, and innovative retinal surgical techniques. Notably, he was part of the team that introduced 'The Mega Weiss Ring' technique, which gained international recognition.

In 2023, Dr. Kumar received the Best Vitreo-retina Surgery Award at the International Film Festival during the All India Ophthalmological Society Conference in Kochi. He was also honored with the Best Video Award at the Retina Summit organized by Shankar Netralaya, Chennai. His innovative approaches have led to multiple invitations to present at national and international forums.
